Going Mobile?: Smartphone marketing efforts just make sense

If you haven't noticed, a phone is no longer just a phone. According to MobiLens data, 72.5 million people in the US own a smartphone -- those multitalented devices that let you do almost anything you can do on the Web. This staggering figure had increased 15% from the preceding three months. Clearly, this growth means that if your digital marketing efforts haven't gone mobile, it's time. A mobile site is a streamlined Web site, configured to easily fit a smartphone screen. Perhaps your mobile effort is the wake-up call that your Web site needed all along. Most health care providers "going mobile" say the results are almost always encouraging. Baptist Hospital East's senior Web team analyst Carla Joy reported that the growth of usage for their mobile Web sites has increased every month. In that same time, they have received exactly three complaints concerning either usage or an issue, all of which were quickly resolved.
